30 Questions People Ask About Destiny 2013

Every honest question deserves an honest answer. Here are the most common ones — from “what is this?” to “where does my €2 go?”

Category

Clarity — What is this?

01. What exactly is this website about?

This website is the public home of Destiny 2013 / H2H Heart-to-Heart — a global humanitarian movement founded by John B. Wu. It exists to invite ordinary people to sponsor one heart at a time (€2/month) and restore dignity, opportunity and presence to those the global economy has forgotten.

02. Is this a movement, a platform, or a business?

It is all three, but at its core it is a movement. Operationally it runs as the world’s first Pro-Bono Company — a business structure that exists not to extract profit but to circulate it back to the people who need it most.

03. What does Heart-to-Heart (H2H) actually mean in simple terms?

H2H means one human being choosing to carry another human being in their heart — and backing that choice with a small, steady monthly act. No middlemen, no labels, no charity hierarchy. Just one heart connected to another.

04. What is the Brussels Paper — a document or a project?

The Brussels Paper is the founding statement written by John B. Wu from Brussels. It is both a document (the open letter you can read on this site) and the name of the broader project that puts those ideas into practice.

05. What is Destiny 2013 and how does it connect to everything?

2013 in Mandarin Chinese sounds like “Love You Forever” (爱你一生). Destiny 2013 is John’s reminder that love must guide humanity’s choices. It is the umbrella name under which H2H, the Brussels Paper and the Pro-Bono Company all sit.

Relevance — Why should I care?

06. Why should I pay attention to this?

Because the systems we built to serve humanity have started forgetting humans. H2H is one of the very few ideas that asks the public — not governments, not billionaires — to fix that, one heart at a time.

07. How does this affect me personally?

It gives you a tangible way to participate in repairing the world without changing your life. Two euros a month — the cost of a coffee — places you inside a global movement of dignity.

08. Is this only for poor people, or for everyone?

It is for everyone. The poor receive opportunity. The comfortable receive purpose. The young receive a future. The elderly receive a legacy. Everyone has a heart to give and a heart to receive.

09. Why only €2 — why so small?

Because €2 is what almost everyone on earth can afford. If 2 billion people each give €2 every month, that is €4 billion every month for humanity. Small is the whole point.

10. What change does €2 actually create?

On its own, very little. Multiplied by millions of hearts, it builds the foundation of a Universal Living Income for the forgotten — turning the unseen into dignified consumers, workers and contributors.

Trust — Why should I believe in this?

11. Who is John B. Wu and why should I trust him?

John is an 80-year-old Hong Kong-born entrepreneur and humanitarian, writing from Brussels in the final chapter of his life. He has no political ambition, no profit motive, and his name and contact details are public on this site. You can write to him directly.

12. Is this religious or political?

Neither. H2H welcomes every faith, every nation and every political colour. The only requirement is a willingness to recognise that another human being matters.

13. Where does my €2 actually go?

Toward the operating fund of the Pro-Bono Company — which channels resources to hardworking poor, jobless youth, fair-trade farmers, and the suppliers and communities the global market has left behind.

14. How will I know my money is used well?

Transparency is built in. As the platform grows, monthly reports and an open ledger will show where every euro lands. Until then, John personally answers questions about how funds are stewarded.

15. Is this a registered charity or NGO?

H2H is structured as a Pro-Bono Company — a new legal/operational form designed for this purpose. Formal NGO and charity partnerships (KBF Foundation, Rotary, Lions Club and others) are being established.

Participation — How does it work?

16. Can I cancel anytime? Are there contracts?

Yes — cancel anytime, no contracts, no penalties. H2H runs on trust, not on lock-in. You stay because you want to, not because you must.

17. What if I want to sponsor more than €2?

You don’t pay more for your own heart — your heart is always €2. If you want to give more, you add another heart — for your child, your friend, a parent, a neighbour. Each added heart is another €2/month. One person, one heart.

18. Can I sponsor a heart for my child, friend or family member?

Yes — and this is the soul of Heart-to-Heart. Each loved one you name becomes another heart in the movement. You carry them with you, and the world carries them with you.

19. How do you stop abuse, fraud or fake hearts?

Each heart is tied to a real, named human being. The platform reviews unusual patterns, caps automation, and relies on the community itself — anyone can flag a heart that doesn’t feel real.

20. Who decides who receives help?

Not John alone. The structure is being built so that communities themselves nominate the hardworking poor, the jobless youth, and the farmers in their region. Decision-making is local, distributed and transparent.

Vision — What is the bigger picture?

21. What is a Pro-Bono Company, exactly?

A company whose core operating purpose is to serve the public good. Profits are not extracted by shareholders — they are recycled into Universal Living Income and dignity-restoring programmes. It is capitalism with a conscience.

22. How is this different from regular charity?

Charity asks for donations and decides on your behalf. H2H asks for membership (€2/month) and treats you as a Pro-Bono Sponsor — a co-owner of the movement, not a passive donor.

23. How is this different from Universal Basic Income?

UBI is usually proposed as a government-funded payment. H2H proposes a citizen-funded Universal Living Income — built bottom-up from billions of small monthly hearts rather than top-down from taxes.

24. What role do youth play in H2H?

Youth are the heart of the future. H2H is being designed to give graduating young people their first real foundation — networks, opportunity, dignity and a place to belong when the job market fails them.

25. How can I get involved if I cannot pay €2?

Sponsorship is not the only way. You can volunteer skills, share the message, translate the site, write your story, suggest improvements, or simply tell one other person. Every heart counts — money is optional.

Openness & future — How can I help build this?

26. Can I improve the website or suggest changes?

Absolutely — and John personally invites you to. The site has an Open for Improvement section. Any visitor can send a suggestion, rewrite, translation or new feature idea, and it will be read.

27. Is the project open-source or open to contributors?

Yes. H2H is built to be co-owned by humanity. Designers, developers, writers, organisers, translators and storytellers are all welcome to contribute their craft.

28. Is this idea already being implemented anywhere?

The foundation work is underway: the Brussels Paper has been published, partnerships are being formed with organisations such as KBF, Rotary and Lions Club, and the first sponsorship infrastructure is being deployed.

29. How do agriculture and commodity trading fit into this?

Agriculture, fair-trade commodities and supply-chain redesign are core to H2H. Many of the forgotten are farmers and small suppliers. Restoring fair markets to them is one of the first concrete pillars of the project.

30. What is the long-term goal of this project?

To build a world in which no human being is invisible — where every person has a dignified income, every voice is heard, and every life is recognised. That is what John means when he says: Touching Hearts to Change Our World.
